The countdown is on!

It will not be long before the fourth Alternatives clinic is open.

The construction build-out of the new facility, Alternatives at The Bridge, is progressing. We are hopeful to be ready to open in December! That means our life-changing services will be available to Arvada and north Denver soon!

Located adjacent to Revive Church in Arvada, Alternatives at The Bridge represents the culmination of a two-year process from the time leaders at the church invited Alternatives to see their vision for this project and be a part of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual healthcare and saving lives in north Denver.

The new clinic will allow Alternatives to dramatically increase its reach. The population of Arvada and the surrounding communities within a 10-mile radius is nearly 450,000. This includes the cities of Northglenn, Thornton, Westminster, Broomfield, Wheat Ridge, Federal Heights, and Golden. Now, people in these areas will have easy access to pregnancy-related healthcare when they are in the complex time of a pregnancy decision.

In addition, there are more than ten high schools and four community and technical colleges in the service area so we will be well-positioned to spread our message of hope and help to young people throughout north Denver.

On September 28, Alternatives hosted an event at Revive Church adjacent to the new clinic. We were blessed to see so many of you there to learn about the facility, hear from Alternatives staff talk about the ways they serve people every day, and support the new clinic in whatever way you are able.

Our goal is to cover construction and first-year operating costs, which are approximately $500,000. Today, we have raised over $220,000 towards that goal! Praise God!  If you want to give to the building campaign, it is not too late!

Here are some of the highlights of the new clinic space design:

  • Three counseling rooms so multiple clients can be served at once. One room can be used for Momma Mentoring while a Fatherhood Mentoring session is going on, while the third could be used for post-abortion counseling. Or, a pregnancy test client can bring her partner and they can be served simultaneously while we are counseling an STD patient.
  • Two exam rooms so services such as ultrasounds and STD testing can be offered at the same time.
  • A dedicated nurse and sonographer station.
  • Additional room for Alternatives staff to work remotely or account for the future growth of the clinic.

The goal is to increase the amount of care, the depth of care, and the efficiency of care. People are facing life-altering, and in some cases, life-threatening, circumstances. The ability to meet the needs of women, men and the preborn quickly and comprehensively is critical.

From the time our staff welcomes people through the secure entrance into the privacy and safety of the clinic, they will feel seen, heard, and loved. They will know we are there to serve them, to stand with them, and to help guide them through the difficult circumstances and decisions they are facing. Alternatives at The Bridge reflects our mission statement: “Following the example of Christian love, we seek to meet their emotional, physical and spiritual needs. And we enable and encourage them to choose life every day.”

This is truly an exciting time for Alternatives! We are on the frontlines of the battle to stand for and promote life solutions.

We ask for and thank you for your continued support of Alternatives and the new clinic in Arvada.
