Watch pro-life women from across the country speak in front of the Supreme Court!
- In 1973, the Supreme Court’s landmark ruling in Roe v. Wade effectively protects abortion throughout the U.S.
- In 2018, the Jackson Women’s Health Organization, the only abortion provider in Mississippi, challenges Mississippi’s Gestational Age Act that prohibits abortions after the fifteenth week of pregnancy except in the cases of a medical emergency.
- In the fall of 2021, Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch invites approximately 40 women who lead prolife agencies across the United States to speak at the Empower Women Promote Life rally at the Supreme Court on December 1. Our very own Lauren Castillo, Board President, was one of those invited!
- On December 1, 2021, the Supreme Court hears an abortion case: Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. The ruling should take several months, but if the court rules in favor of Dobbs, this will give states the authority to limit abortions, effectively protecting Mississippi’s legislation and encouraging other states to implement similar policies.
The video and photos of the December 1 speeches at the Empower Women Promote Life rally are in the following link. You will be inspired by their words and connect with their passion for life.
In addition to the thousands of people in attendance, there were over 55,000 virtual viewers from all 50 states and Canada who watched the speeches.
