Reproductive Health Education
Are you experiencing abnormal symptoms related to your menstrual period? Have you used birth control in the past and are interested in understanding your own fertility better? Or are you simply desiring to know more about how your body functions to improve your own health?
If you answered ‘yes’ to any of the above questions, then Fertility Education and Medical Management (FEMM) is something for you!
FEMM, a comprehensive women’s health program, is part of the Reproductive Health Research Institute, established to develop and expand ongoing research on reproductive health and endocrinology. Education in FEMM will help you understand what is normal and abnormal about your cycle so that you can make informed choices.
FEMM training is designed to help you understand the function of your reproductive anatomy, provide education that helps you recognize your days of fertility and equip you to meet your goal of achieving or avoiding pregnancy. Through the training, you will be taught the method of FEMM charting by observing signs of hormonal change. FEMM training will also empower you to identify signs of health or potential issues, so that you can seek the treatment you need as early as possible.
Alternatives offers free FEMM training through a three-sessions series that is available in a one-on-one or group setting. Each session lasts approximately 90 minutes. If you want to check out FEMM and learn more about it, please register for one of the virtual 20-minute group or individual introductory sessions through the registration link below.
Remember, your optimal health is not simply the absence of disease, but the state of complete physical, mental, spiritual, and social well-being. FEMM training is an important step towards achieving your optimal health.
