As a Lifeline advocate, you have the opportunity to help us support people during the decision-making process and beyond. But what does it mean to do that?
The word burden, or baros in Greek, means a weight that is heavy or crushing. The clients, students and patients connected to Alternatives are facing pressures they describe as heavy and crushing. As a community of faith, we are called to carry the weight of one another. If we don’t who will? So, to advocate and care for others well, the first step is for them to know that a place like Alternatives exists in their city. That’s where you come in!
As you think about how you will participate in the Sanctity of Human Life in January, would you consider connecting our team to your church pastoral staff? We have videos, speakers, workshops and more, all designed to help women and men in a parish or congregation know that there is a place they can go if they are struggling with a pregnancy decision, compromised sexual health or hurt from a past abortion.
